The One Page Business Reset
Most people who work for themselves know how busy the last three months were. Very few can say which part of that work actually paid. This is one sheet that answers it, and it takes about twenty minutes.
Take it now, no account needed
PDF, four pages, prints on ordinary paper. Free to print as often as you like. If someone else wants a copy, send them to this page rather than the file.
What is on the sheet
- One line per paid job, with what the buyer actually bought, which is rarely what the service was called
- What it paid, so the pattern shows up per job instead of hiding inside a monthly total
- How they found you, because one channel usually carries most of the work and gets none of the credit
- Whether you would take it again, which is the column that changes what the next quarter looks like
- A short close out check: everything invoiced, everything actually paid, and the one thing to change
How to use it
i.
Fill it from records
Not from memory. Memory rewards whoever shouted loudest, not whoever paid best.
ii.
One line per job
Per thing somebody paid for, not per task you did. The list stays short on purpose.
iii.
Answer the last column honestly
The work you quietly dread is the work that caps the business.
When this sheet runs out of room. The rest of the shelf picks up where this page stops: client onboarding, pricing, invoices, project tracking and the week. Same grid, same two paper sizes, and an ink saving version of everything.
Those are sold on the stores built to sell them, never from this site. See the catalog
